Run for Carers Gloucestershire in the Virgin Money London Marathon 2018!

Would you like a place in the Virgin Money London Marathon on Sunday, 22 April 2018?

For the first time, we have secured one precious place in this year’s Virgin Money London Marathon!

Whether you are an experienced runner with many marathons under your belt, or you are challenging yourself to achieve a long-held dream for the first time, we would like to hear from you!

Last year, 40,000 fantastic people entered, trained hard and ran the London Marathon all endeavouring to cross the world-famous finish line and raise money for causes close to their hearts.

We are seeking that special person who can represent Carers Gloucestershire and raise money to support unpaid carers in the county.

We will support you all the way –  from advice on setting up an online donation page, to giving you a free Carers Gloucestershire running vest. We will be with you every step of the way to cheer you on!

If you think you could raise at least £1500 for us, then please get in touch with our Fundraising Manager, Gail Mattocks by emailing or calling 01452 386283.  Alternatively, please complete the application form below and return it to Gail by email or by posting to:

A little bit about us…
Carers Gloucestershire is an independent, local, carer-led charity striving for a better life for carers. There are more than 63,000 unpaid carers in Gloucestershire. These are people who find themselves as carers when someone they are responsible for is suddenly taken ill or for some the caring responsibilities evolve slowly, for example as a parent or spouse develops age-related conditions. Carers are the largest source of unpaid support in each area of the UK and we believe it is in everyone’s interests that they are supported.

We provide a wide range of services, guidance and support for carers and have responded to more than 16,500 calls from carers on our dedicated Carersline in the last year.

We believe no-one should have to face the challenge of caring alone.
