Adult Carers United is an independent Carer-led and Carer-centred organisation with an inclusive membership for Carers of adults.

Any person who is over 16 and Carers for an adult with physical or mental health issues, learning disabilities, drug or alcohol abuse, elderly or frail can become a member. Former Carers are also able to join.

The Carer must be resident within Gloucestershire but the cared-for may live elsewhere.

Carers of Adults, Gloucestershire aims to:

  • Listen to carers and involve them in decision making on current and future carer issues
  • Collect and share with Carers, via a variety of ways, information about local and national consultations relating to carers’ issues or issues relating to the adult being cared for.
  • Link to Gloucestershire Carers Alliance to strengthen the voice of all Carers in the county.
