Senior Carer Community Builder (Ref: SCCB)

Part Time,30 hours per week
£20,918 p.a. pro rata (£25,800 p.a. FTE)
12 Month Contract

This post follows on from a recent award of funded support. The overall responsibilities of the post are to:

  • Take responsibility for the development, delivery and monitoring of our Connecting Carers Pilot Project
  • Supervise and coordinate a Carer Community Builder.
  • Develop links with local organisations to raise awareness of carers and the challenges they face accessing opportunities.
  • Work with groups of carers, volunteers and organisations to develop new opportunities which support the health and wellbeing of carers in the local area.
  • Recruit locally based volunteers to help with development work.
  • Connect carers together for mutual support and company to attend local activities together.
  • Work with the Fundraising Manager to look for funding opportunities to increase the sustainability of the project.

You will be an experienced Community Builder preferably with project development and supervisory experience. You will be a self-starter, good organiser & confident communicating with carers and external organisations. You must have IT skills and a good command of the English language. You should be able to confidently represent the charity in a professional manner and relay its values and ethos.

Volunteer Co-ordinator (ref: VC)

Part Time, 30 hours per week
Salary £16,882 p.a. (£20,821 p.a. FTE)
12 Month Contract

  • Manage, develop and recruit to our team of volunteers to support the organisation and carers in a number of different ways.
  • Coordinate our GP Surgery Link service, including the regular distribution of information to all GP surgeries in the county Gloucestershire and to ensure Carers have access to up to date and relevant information.
  • Explore and identify further opportunities for volunteer working within the organisation that add value to, and support, the organisations objectives.
  • Support carers to contribute to the charity’s ongoing development through our membership scheme.
